Trying to keep up with hyperinflation,Zimbabwe unveils a 100 trillion note. It’s worth about 300 $US.
I think this is a good sign that they have a problem… Inflation is estimated to be 89,700,000,000,000,000,000,000 percent.

My friend Tommy sent me a link today to a Craig’s list ad with a double-neck mandolin/guitar. Someone took an Epiphone mandolin and an Epiphone guitar, then did a little reversesiamesetwin surgery on them. Only $400…
Here’s two of the photos.

If you’re interested in seeing some real double-neck mandolins, check out the double-neck eye candy page on MandolinCafe.com.
For some double-neck music…check out this video of “Karla with a K” by a band whose name is being blocked by Internet filter…

Or for something really cool… check out John Paul Jones performing the “Triple Neck Song”.

A few friends of mine have had some interesting blogs posts this week:
David Hensley describes great customer service. It’s amazing how, in my line of work, suppliers seek million dollar contracts but fail to recognize the need for great customer service…
Cody Knutson wrote a post about Brian “Head” Welch. Be sure to watch the video of Head getting a tattoo on LA Ink. He has an awesome story. This guy quit Korn so he could be a better father and clean up. Amazing!
And as a bonus… have you ever checked out the Mental Floss blog? If you’re insanely curious (like me), this blog is for you. Random information several times a day (too much really) on a variety of subjects. Lots of focus on presidents lately. Some pretty interesting reading that might help you win on Jeopardy someday.

I started reading the Pure Praise study this week, and I thought the author made a great point this morning.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says ”give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Note that it doesn’t say to give thanks about your circumstance; only in your circumstances. God doesn’t expect you to always like what you’re going through. But He does expect us to give thanks to Him anyways.
