From the Mind of MandoRon

This morning, Mike preached about crazy love.  He spent quite a bit of time defining “crazy”.  As a direct result, I had the Gnarls Barkley song “Crazy” going through my head the rest of the sermon.  It’s one of my favorite songs.

Speaking of Gnarls Barkley… the band was originally supposed to play Carl Douglas’ “Kung Fu Fighting” as an exit song.  The plan changed for some reason.  In case you haven’t seen/heard it, Cee-Lo Green (of Gnarls Barkley) and Jack Black do an awesome remake of “Kung Fu Fighting” on the Kung Fu Panda soundtrack.

It’s scary how well Cee-Lo’s voice fits this song.

Today at GracePoint, was the last week of the Crazy Love series.  The last week of the disco ball.  The last week of crazy disco songs…

It was also one of those rare days when I get to sit with my wife, and worship with everyone else.

Just a few comments…  Bless the Lord showed up as an offering song a few weeks ago. I’m not familiar with Shaun Grove’s stuff, but I really like this one. 

If you missed I Will Survive performed as a duet by Christina in an afro and Gil (Gilina?) in a blonde wig, then you really missed out.  It was a sight!  Enjoyable even.  Great job everyone.

Wow, what a week!

I have felt like total crap this week.  Got a sinus infection thing going on.  Missed 2 days of work.  I did work all day today, but I’m beat now…

Lots of stuff on my mind; none of it is coherent enough to actually blog about it.  Seems like the whole world is in a constant state of flux.

As I mentioned Sunday, I’m celebrating the first year of blogging.  And I shared some of my favorite posts from the last year.

One of the reasons that I started blogging was to find another creative outlet.  One of my favorite parts is coming up with clever titles.
