    Sunday Setlist … November 8, 2009

    sunday-setlist-header

Wow! What an awesome day at GracePoint!

This was week 2 of the “Lovin’ the Hell Out of Wichita” series, and it marked Bryson’s return from sabbatical.  And if the guy behind the drum shield looked vaguely familiar… today also marked the return of Chris Magnuson on drums.  It was great to play with you again Chris.

The music was off-the-chart awesome this morning.  The band had fun, and you could see and hear people worshipping God with everything they had this morning.  I hadn’t played in about a month, so it was good to break out the electric mandolin again.

Second Chance is a new one this week.  Great song!  It should be making another appearance in a few weeks.

The Time Has Come is a great one to kick off the worship set with.  Carmen’s vocals were awesome, as always.

Give You Glory isn’t one of my personal favorites, but other people really seem to like it.  Thomas did a great job singing in his second week on stage.

Song of Hope is a great tune.  I love the keys on it.  Great job Rod!

Rain Down is an oldie by a goodie!  When Gil got everyone singing, I pulled out my in-ear’s so I could hear.

Under Bridges … This is the second time we’ve used this one, although it’s been a few years.  Powerful song!  When I suggested this one previously, I never expected that we would actually include the “Apollo 8” part in the middle.  It makes sense in the context of the concept album, but not really in church.  Oh well.  We’ve included it both times anyway.

The band: one female vocal, two male vocal, drums, electric guitar, electric mandolin (that’s me!), bass, and keys.

Oh yeah… feel free to leave a comment.  I’d love to hear your thoughts on this morning’s music.
