Sunday Setlist … November 15, 2009
Good Evening!
It was another powerful morning at GracePoint. Bryson preached on holy discontent and discovering what you’re called by God to do. And the music… Words can’t do the music justice. Christina, Jamie, and Carmen led an incredible time of worship!
The setlist:
- Sober by Pink (walk-in)
- Rescue Me by Inhabited
- Broadcast by Fee
- You Are So Good to Me by Third Day
- How He Loves by John Mark McMillan (Kim Walker-Smith / Jesus Culture version)
- Drifter by Decemberadio (offering)
- Broadcast reprise (exit)
Sober was one of two new ones this morning. It’s too bad more people didn’t hear it, because the band rocked it! Stylistically, it’s a little different than our normal faire but it worked great.
Rescue Me used to show up frequently, but I don’t think we’ve done it in a while. Cool song.
Broadcast is guaranteed to get your blood pumping.
You Are So Good to Me … the band kicked the tempo up on this a bit, which I thought added a cool vibe to it. This one’s been around a while, but doesn’t show up very often anymore. Jamie did a great job of getting everyone singing along.
How He Loves WOW! Carmen introduced this one to GP today. (Yeah, we’re a little late on the bandwagon…) It was powerful time of experiencing the Father’s love for us. For those of you that care… we stuck with “sloppy wet kiss”, although we may go with Crowder’s alternate lyrics if other singers prefer it.
Drifter shows up fairly regularly. I’ve got to say that I prefer Christina’s vocals to the original. And Rod killed on the organ solo at the end!
The band: three female singers, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, and keys.
