Sunday Setlist… January 3, 2010
January 4th, 2010
Welcome to the first Sunday Setlist of 2010!
Today at GracePoint, we started a new series called “Now is the Time”. Bryson preached from Deuteronomy 3:11 where it talks about King Og of Bashan, the last survivor of the giant Rephaites. It’s got me thinking about putting some time into studying giants in the Bible. But that’s for another day. This post is supposed to be about music.
The band did a great job today, and I noticed a lot of people singing, clapping, smiling, head-bobbing, foot-stomping, or swaying today.
The GP setlist:
- Dig In by Lenny Kravitz (walk-in)
- Take My Life by Jeremy Camp
- In the Light by DC Talk
- Until the Whole World Hears by Casting Crowns
- If We Are the Body by Casting Crowns
- Revolution by Starfield (offering)
Until the Whole World Hears was a new one today. It’s been all over the radio, has some cool guitar licks, and the message of the lyrics is great. The band rocked it, and it seemed that people liked it. Honestly, I don’t really care for the song… but it’s probably a keeper anyway.
All of the other songs in the setlist have been used quite a bit, although it had been a while for Dig In, In the Light, and Revolution.
The band: 2 male singers (plus a drummer with some BGV’s…), 2 electric guitars, bass, and drums.
